Anna University Compiles to do the Best pracitces in Engineering colleges

The Following News has been taken from The Times Of India News.
The Anna University of Technology ( AUT Chennai) has embarked on a proposal to compile a list of best practices adopted or implemented in its affiliated self-financing engineering colleges with an eye on replicating it in other institutions.

Around 150 self-financing engineering colleges located in and around Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai and Vellore districts are affiliated to the university.

The university has now requested affiliated colleges to send in their best/unique practices on difference activities. For example, one of the affiliated colleges ensures that none of its students or staff wastes food which the university believes is an excellent practice for anybody to emulate. Likewise, a few institutions are also practising innovative energy saving methods on their respective campuses.

"Hence, all the principals are requested to inform the university about such practices existing in their colleges so that the same can be informed to other colleges for adoption," the university has said in a communication.

To begin with the university has requested all principals of private engineering colleges affiliated to it to impart it as a practice to their students as well as staff that they do not waste food items within and outside the campuses.

The selected best practices will also be published in the university website with due acknowledgement to the colleges.
